After some research on ways to attract bees to the garden and vege patch, we decided that one fun idea was to build a bee hotel out in the backyard.
Bee hotels are designed to attract a variety of bee species into the garden by using a selection of wood and hole sizes.
Here is our masterpiece!
We currently have bees buzzing in the autunm blooms and hope to attract them all year around.
Wow now that is Bee-zar, Bee-devilling, Bee-fuddling and very Bee-coming. Hope your guests enjoy there stay. The only things that visited last time I left a pile of timber in the yard were a colony of termites who certainly did enjoy the stay.
You will Bee impressed with how well everything is growing.
Grand Hyatt of bee hotels. You must have been watching lists on gardening Australia!
That looks great!
Hopefully it works and we get good pollination on the fruit frees and flowering shrubs.
Are all these blooms in your garden. Spectacular.
Yes they are Robyn. Only a few flowers as the shrubs are still establishing themselves. Looking forward to this time next year when they will be more advanced.
What a great idea! Very impressive and good on you for attracting the bees.
Thankfully we are not allergic.
Your a clever pair of busy bees. Looks great. Cheers.
Hopefully the bees are happy!
